USA Pears in Israel: Growing Demand During a Record Crop Year

STRATEGY

During the 2025–26 season, Northwest pear growers launched an integrated omnichannel campaign in Israel to support export sales during a record pear crop. The initiative was designed to increase consumer awareness of USA pears, strengthen their premium positioning, and drive retail purchases. Pear Bureau Northwest, in partnership with Crisp.Global agency, connected in-store execution with targeted digital activations. USA Pears returned to in-store activations after more than 15 years. More than 120 point-of-sale placements and in-store demos were implemented across major Israeli retail chains. Digital marketing support included geo-targeted advertising around stores where POS materials were placed, as well as collaborations with leading Israeli influencers and food bloggers.

RESULTS

The program generated 9 million consumer impressions online and delivered nationwide visibility through retail activations across chains representing more than 30% of Israel’s food retail sales. End-of-season consumer research also confirmed the impact of the campaign: 23% of surveyed consumers who tried or purchased USA pears said the main reason was noticing them in-store through POS materials or strong shelf visibility.
