When women enter senior positions in a company — the C-suite — research has shown these firms “are more profitable, more socially responsible, and provide safer, higher-quality customer experiences,” according to a 2021 article in the “Harvard Business Review.” But, although women have been joining the fresh produce workforce for at least half a century, their share of top management roles is still low. Meaningful gains, however, have been made.
