Stemilt Apples Chicagoland Takeover

STRATEGY

In spirit of National Random Acts of Kindness Month in February, Stemilt partnered with Jewel Osco to create a special four-week promotion on Lil Snappers and bulk Stemilt apples.

The promotion ran at Jewel stores in the greater Chicago area, where multiple Stemilt apple varieties were displayed in different packaging, accompanied by colorful in-store signage designed by Stemilt. Stemilt purchased groceries for select shoppers who were making a Stemilt apples purchase. Billboards throughout the city also supported the promotion.

RESULTS

Overall, Stemilt gave over $7,500 worth of groceries to over 50 shoppers. The February promotion led to a 92% year-over-year increase in apple volume. This data shows that Stemilt was able to win at the point of sale with a retailer like Jewel, make a difference in the category, and offer random acts of kindness to bring consumers to Stemilt apples.
